What about the battery in the jump starters?

This Limited Lifetime Warranty is applied to jump starters a bit differently because batteries are consumable with a life expectancy:

  • The first 2 years after purchase 100% of the unit is covered

  • Starting on the first day of the 3rd year the warranty is prorated 20% per year. For instance if there was a defect on the 3rd year you would pay 20% of the cost for a new unit, if there was a defect in the 4th year you would pay 40% of the cost for a new unit and so on.

  • Battery capacity is expected to diminish over time. As long as the battery is within expected range for it’s capacity it is not considered defective.

  • The prorated amount will not exceed 75% of the unit. This means you will never pay more than 75% of the cost for a new unit. If your unit is defective in 15 years you would still only pay 75% of the cost for a new unit.
